Event information
Described as having a magical voice that ‘resonates and shimmers’ (Americana UK), one of those voices you just can't ignore, Clementine Lovell’s exceptional musicianship and quality of songwriting draws you in and holds you captive. Her voice has been compared to English greats the calibre of Sandy Denny and Maddy Prior, as well as Joan Baez and Emmy Lou Harris. Clementine’s award winning debut album Westbound (Fatea Awards Debut Album of 2025), produced by Marion Fleetwood (Feast of Fiddles) and featuring Ric Sanders (Fairport Convention) and Robbie K. Jones (Track Dogs), is rooted in English and Irish folk and is ‘outstanding’ (Folk London Magazine), ‘spectacular’ (FATEA), ‘stunning’ (Bright Young Folk) and ‘contemporary and innovative’ (Irish Music Magazine).
Her new album Permutations is a collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Gergely Nagy, who helped shape the album's distinct soundscape by blending experimental, electronic, and traditional folk textures. The album has ‘marked her out as one of the most exciting new voices on the wider folk scene’ (Fatea Magazine) and is ‘superb’ Celtic Music Radio and ‘an incredible collision of ancient and modern’ (Marc Higgins). Clementine will be performing at Folk in the Garden with Marion Fleetwood (violin) and Gergely Nagy (percussion).
Clementine will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Marion Fleetwood …and percussionist Gergely Nagy
