PAUL-RONNEY ANGEL + TV SMITH
After spending three decades in London (1992–2022), Paul-Ronney Angel has now settled in Oslo, where he balances an active solo career with his role as the frontman and founder of the legendary London-based band The Urban Voodoo Machine.
In 2023, Angel released the single "Thank God This Bar Is Closing" with Casino Steel, a song that climbed to No. 2 on the UK charts. His music draws inspiration from a wide range of genres, including Delta Blues, New Orleans Jazz, Outlaw Country, Spaghetti Western, Punk Rock, Flamenco, Ska, and good old-fashioned Rock 'n' Roll.
As Angel himself puts it: "It's all about 3 Chords & The Truth!"
He is renowned for his gritty, distinctive voice, commanding stage presence, and playful guitar style—while also regularly picking up other stringed instruments and the harmonica.
As a songwriter, his material has been covered by numerous international artists, including Ledfoot, TV Smith, Linda Gail Lewis, and Los Plantronics. The Urban Voodoo Machine, which he founded in 2003, has released several critically acclaimed albums and performed thousands of concerts around the world.
They are the only band in the world to have performed at both the Download Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival, and their acclaimed "Bourbon Soaked Gypsy Blues Bop'n'Stroll Show" has toured alongside legendary acts such as New York Dolls and The Pogues.
Shane MacGowan once said of Angel's songs: "They are fucking great!"
Their latest album, Other People's Children, was named Album of the Year 2025 by Vive Le Rock magazine, while Angel's solo single "Poor Man's Fight" won Song of the Year 2025 at the Doc's Blues Awards, which is taken from his forthcoming solo album 'Tales From A Lone Ranger'
Angel performs with an acoustic guitar, harmonica, and a suitcase full of tales from a lifetime on the road. With the charisma and storytelling of a true world-travelling poet, he delivers a show you won't want to miss.
"A true street poet and a bad-ass guitar slinger!" — Vive Le Rock

TV SMITH
Founder, frontman and songwriter of legendary first‑wave punk band The Adverts, TV Smith helped define the sound of 1977 with classics like One Chord Wonders, Gary Gilmore’s Eyes and the era‑defining album Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts. After the band’s split, he continued to evolve through TV Smith’s Explorers, Cheap, and ultimately as one of punk’s most respected solo artists.
His collaborations span continents and genres, including work with German icons Die Toten Hosen, who backed him on the acclaimed album Useless. His most recent release, Handwriting (2024), created with producer Gerry Diver, breaks new ground with a bold sonic landscape built without conventional rock instruments—hailed by many critics as his finest album yet.
Fiercely independent and still touring the world with unstoppable energy, TV Smith continues to embody the true spirit of punk. Recent years have seen him perform across the UK, Europe, the Americas, Japan, Australia and beyond, with more global dates already lined up and a new album on the horizon.
