Henry Hanssen is a jazz musician and trombone player. He is an active and prolific member of the uk jazz scene, playing in both his own projects and countless others. He received coaching from Dave Sear and Percy Purseglove at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from which he graduated in 2024. In his time there he frequently played across Birmingham’s jazz scene including, Upstairs at Cherry Reds, Digbeth Jazz (formerly jazz at the Spotted Dog) and Jazz at the Ruin. He is often credited for his energy and exciting improvisation on stage.
Henry is excited to bring a new quintet to Jazz at The Grafton, made up of old and new friends.
