MONKISH

Formed in London in 2005, Monkish have steadily increased their fanbase by playing regularly, and picking up support slots with the likes of Bad Manners, The Dead Boys, The Vibrators, The Macc Lads, Johnny Moped, Anti-Nowhere League, The Members, Eddie and the Hot Rods, Jilted John, and Neville Staple.

Monkish have played at the Blackpool Rebellion Festivals no less than 9 times between 2007 and the present, They have also played at Rebellion Festivals in Austria, Italy, and Holland, and have arranged their own tours of the USA, Germany (3 times), and Belgium (3 times). They also travelled to Ireland to play the Drumacanoo Punx Picnic in 2009 where they appeared alongside Sleaford Mods. Other major festival appearances have included the Wickerman Festival in Scotland and the Great British Alternative Music Festival at Butlins in Skegness 2017, and Minehead 2020.

In 2011 they released their debut album, “You Can’t Polish a Turd” which was very well received, and received a higher score than the Red Hot Chilli Peppers new album in Big Cheese Magazine. The song “Please Don’t Piss In My Microwave” was voted Best Punk Song of 2011 on Gary Bushell’s Rancid Sounds show on Total Rock FM.

Their second album "Quorn is Murder" was released in June 2018 and was produced by Dick Crippen of Tenpole Tudor/King Kurt fame.

A big sound, reminiscent of classic 1980s post-punk and goth, delivered with plenty of energy and attitude.

SPOCK ON THE BUS

Hailing from Worthing, West Sussex. Spock On The Bus is the greatest band to have never appeared on Sunday Brunch. Born from a need to sing silly songs about Bruce Willis, Owls, Biscuits and Badgers, we plan on local domination followed by a nap then tea and biscuits as we're all getting on a bit now.

They play noisy silly songs with sing along choruses and catchy hooks getting everyone in on the act before bedtime. With more years experience than they'd care to admit, they have close to ten albums recorded and released between them in previous bands.

JETHEADS

The band that is now known as Jetheads (formely The Dead Bottomleys) started in the summer of 2019 with Chris and Mark rehearsing up songs from Marks old Psych/Crusty bands the Gentle Sparrows and Speedclock PIlgrims. Chris brought his rhythm and blues style and tuned it up to Ramonesy/Feelgood punk rock speed snare and tom bashing.

Jack completed the line-up on bass and they debuted at Bar 42 (RIP) in Worthing that year.

Jack left when the pandemic hit, with Mark and Chris carrying on as Worthings' answer to The White Stripes ;-) Simon Prudence then joined on bass for a few high profile gigs including the Worthing Rotary Carnival held at Steyne Gardens in the town. Simon then departed to pursue other musical ventures reducing the band once again to a two piece.

Pete answered an ad for a bass player and a power trio was born. Then along came Marks' old mate Andy, who added his stellar, barking psychedelic noodling guitar noise, moving the band up a stylistic notch. Andy left us mid 2025.

The band made it's recorded debut in 2019 with the single Gravestones, recorded remotely during Covid.

After issuing a further three singles (all partly recorded live at TOT Punkish gigs in Worthing) the band finally headed into the recording studio to lay down tracks (cut mostly live in the studio) for what was to become the Jet Fuel EP issued in March 2023 . The EP was also featured on the legendary Brighton DJ Pete Jones radio show.

The band made their Brighton debut at The Bees mouth in Hove in 2019 and following that a supporting slot for Brighton rock band Torrid (A Love Affair) at The Brunswick in Hove. Following those gigs, the band starting playing regular sets at The Lewes Road Inn in Brighton promoted by Mic Records. The band also hold regular gigs at The Charles Dickens in Worthing inviting other local bands to perform.

In the spring of 2024 the band returned to the studio to record a bunch of songs which became the bands debut album. The recordings were once again engineered and mixed by Pete Lancaster at Airtight Studios The album 'Sink and Tarnish ' was released on the 20th December 2024 on streaming and CD. The band officially launched the album on the 3rd January 2025 presenting the album in full streamed live via Facebook. In an a early review fvmusicblog.com called it 'an excellent garage rock album fuelled by textured instrumentation, engaging lyrics and exquisite musicianship'. The band also preformed a live set and was interviewed on The Pete Jones Show on Radio Reverb.

In 2025 the band continued writing and gigging behind the new album.

In early 2026 Andy rejoined the group now christened Jetheads pushing the band into a new and exciting psychedelic direction . The band released their self titled EP in June this year.
