Horsham Music Circle welcomes Spanish accordionist Sofía Ros, rapidly emerging as one of the most compelling young musicians of her generation.
Winner of the 2025 BBC Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician of the Year, following her acclaimed debut with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, she has already performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Edinburgh International Festival. Her artistry combines technical brilliance with expressive depth, redefining expectations of the classical accordion.
Her recital explores music by Scarlatti, Bach, Albéniz, Liszt and Tchaikovsky, revealing the instrument’s extraordinary versatility across Baroque elegance, Romantic lyricism and Spanish colour. Each work is transformed through her vivid sense of phrasing and tonal imagination, highlighting both intimacy and orchestral richness.
