The Narrative that underpins the programme of this event
is dedicated to the pursuit of Peace, Friendship, Reconciliation, Kindness and the survival of a sustainable Planet Earth.
It also pays homage to those who left Ipstones and Foxt to go to war in 1914 - never to return, many of whom would have known this chapel well.
They could not have conceived that man-made climate change would now be threatening the very existence of the human race.
The programme in the afternoon will include a special screening of the film ‘People’s Emergency Briefing’

1.15 pm ‘Peoples Emergency Briefing’ film-
presented by Moorlands Climate Action & Peace through Folk.
The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency yet most people have not been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. This film is intended to act as a catalyst for a wider public conversation and a stepping stone towards live televised national briefings, introduced by the Prime Minister and delivered by independent experts. This way the whole country can be fully informed about the risks we all face and the solutions available provided the human race acts with speed. The film will be followed by a discussion and conclusions led by Moorland Climate Action Team.

3.00 pm - Singing Workshop in the Chapel led by Penny Barfield
to include a few songs from Leek Peace Choir.

4.30 pm - Interval –‘bring & share food’ in the school room.
Tea and coffee will be available
(Chapel closed for sound check)

5.30 pm – Doors to Chapel re-open
6.00 pm - Evening Concert - Stephen Edkins (MC)
6.15 pm - Leek Peace Choir
6.45 pm - Lester Simpson
7.15 pm - The Unhappy Mundys

(probably followed by informal session in the pub !!!)
