Join us for Friday Night Jazz at the Atrium Bar & Restaurant, President Hotel, Russell Square. On 9 October, we are delighted to present the outstanding trumpeter Jackson Mathod, accompanied by Soner Ersen (piano), Dave Manington (bass), and Eric Ford (drums).

Jackson Mathod is one of the most exciting young voices in British jazz. A trumpeter, composer and bandleader, he has rapidly established himself on the UK's contemporary jazz scene through his dynamic performances, original compositions and distinctive blend of jazz, Afrobeat, hip-hop and electronic influences. A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Jackson has performed at major festivals and venues across the UK and Europe, earning widespread recognition for his energetic improvisation, expressive trumpet playing and innovative musical vision. His acclaimed debut album Travels in a Confined Space marked him as one of the leading artists of a new generation of British jazz musicians.

Expect an evening of vibrant contemporary jazz, combining memorable melodies, adventurous improvisation and infectious grooves, brought to life by four outstanding musicians.

To enjoy the full experience of the evening, we recommend arriving before 7:30 PM to allow time to be seated, order your food and drinks, and settle in comfortably before the music begins at 8:00 PM.

There are two ticket options available:
Dining Ticket – For guests who wish to enjoy dinner during the performance. We will do our best to reserve a table for you; however, table reservations are subject to availability. To give yourself the best chance of securing a table, we recommend booking your dining ticket as early as possible.

Drinks Only Ticket – For guests who would like to enjoy drinks only. You are welcome to enjoy the performance from the bar area, where you can both see and hear the band. If tables become available during the evening, you are welcome to use one; however, we cannot guarantee table seating for drinks-only tickets.
