The Intermezzo choir will be singing "Songs of Resistance", including eye-opening music from or about the oppressed and unfortunate in South Africa, Haiti, Ireland, the American south, Soviet-occupied Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia, and of course ancient Babylon. Composers include Desmond Earley, Dan Heymann (arranged André van der Merwe), Cyrillus Kreek, Stacey Gibbs, Blaž Strmole, and others. We will be accompanied in some of the pieces by guest musicians on percussion, strings, and bodhrán.
