Films4Freedom and The Learning Co‑op invites you to a fundraising screening of “The Small World of Don Camillo”, directed by Julien Duvivier.
🔗
Set in a sleepy town residing in the Po Valley, this beloved classic tells the story of a catholic priest and a communist mayor who discover through quarrel and care what unites them is far greater than what divides them, birthing a genuine reconciliation between faith and communism rooted in a shared commitment to dignity community and liberation. Against this honest solidarity, today there stands a resurgent far right once again cynically co‑opting crosses as an aesthetic shield for cruelty, only together can we expose the fascist masquerade of piety as the hollow lie it is.
