Tragic Mick is the new project from Tom Cartledge, songwriter and singer of alt-rock stalwarts Rook and The Ravens, whose two decades of touring have taken them from Irish one-horse towns to across America and onto stages at festivals throughout Europe.

A multi-instrumentalist with a distinctive style and meticulous craftsmanship, Cartledge’s Tragic Mick moniker — a spoonerism of Magic Trick — turns its gaze towards life’s darker corners,
with a healthy dose of satire.

Debut single “Simpler Times” is out now, with new material following imminently, featuring respected musicians drawn from Cartledge’s touring network of the past 20 years.
