The José Almarcha Trio features award-winning Spanish flamenco guitarist and composer José Almarcha, accompanied by Demi García Sabat on drums and percussion, and Andre JahJah on piano. Their contemporary sound blends traditional flamenco roots with jazz harmony and expressive cross-genre improvisations.
José Almarcha: Virtuoso guitarist from Ciudad Real, Spain, and winner of the Niño Ricardo International Flamenco Guitar Competition. He studied at the Córdoba Conservatory under masters like Paco Serrano and Niño de Pura.
Andre JahJah: Pianist providing rich harmonic and melodic jazz-infused layers.
Demi García Sabat: Versatile, London-based percussionist bridging flamenco, jazz, Latin, and Arabic percussion styles.
The trio delivers a conceptual, emotional musical journey. Performances range from stripped-back, intimate flamenco guitar pieces to explosive, rhythmically charged numbers combining modern piano and dynamic percussion. Almarcha has also expanded his repertoire with crossover albums like Un nuevo pase, incorporating jazz, rock, and soul elements into his core flamenco foundation.
