Sonics Collective CIC presents: Ye Gods with special guests VVAIF

Ye Gods is the post-industrial musical project of prolific British artist Antoni Maiovvi, film composer, producer and co-founder of the influential Giallo Disco label. Blending dark ambient, electroacoustic texture, playful sound design with quasi-folk song structure, Ye Gods evokes a place both wonderful and strange.

Antoni’s career began in Bristol, UK when in 2008, after spending over half a decade involved in free noise and alternative music. His work spans everything from noise rock to scores to films both real and imaginary, and his unique blend of styles has earned him a dedicated cult following for those adventurous to dive in.

Beyond Ye Gods, he has released critically acclaimed albums on labels such as LA’s Not Not Fun, NYC’s New Retro Wave, and legendary Dutch techno label Bunker.

His new album Los on celebrated label Rocket Recordings, is a continuation on the trilogy of albums released in 2025 (coinciding with tours opening for Xeno & Oaklander and Mogwai) combining deliberately strange longform structure and features collaborations from Jarboe (ex-Swans) and members of acoustic drone group Tongue Depressor.

Support comes from Eastbourne based duo, VVAIF. VVAIF crafts stripped back yet deeply evocative doom folk. Their haunting vocals and raw, hypnotic guitar unravels subconscious emotions and explores their relationships with others and with nature. Each song feels like an unearthed ancient tale, whispered and wailed in the dark, where the lines between myth, memory, and reality blur.
