Moor Poets is “a community of friendly poets based in and around Dartmoor in Devon” – for more, see moorpoets.weebly.com. This evening of poetry readings features Fiona Benson, reading and talking about her work, plus an Open Mic session.

Jean Sprackland's latest collection is Goyle, Chert, Mire — a book-length sequence about place, time, illness and recovery, set in the Blackdown Hills on the Somerset/Devon border. Her previous collections include Tilt, which won the Costa Poetry Award in 2008. Jean is also the author of three books of non-fiction, most recently Night Vision: In Search of the True Dark. She is Professor of Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
