Event information

Eight Miles High presents a night of live music at The Prince Albert, with visuals spinning throughout the evening, a diverse mix of acts and psychedelic sounds in between!

The Jack Cades
Headliners The Jack Cades provide a glorious cocktail of '60s freakbeat and garage, with '80s and '90s indie influences thrown in for good measure. The band now have a new rhythm section and keys player, giving a whole new dimension to their sound.

Love for The Jack Cades from Shindig! Magazine:

“...raucous garage-rock with welcome toe dips into new wave and indie-rock.”

“A simply unmissable album to be placed between the releases of Sarah Records and the first releases of Creation Records.”

“Garage/Beat gems that mix clean 60s Garage and R'n'B influence with Surf and Stone Roses-esque Brit Pop.”

Their new album, Fade In, is out now.

Last of the Lovely Days
Brighton's own 4-piece indie-pop outfit bring you finely crafted, catchy, '60s-inspired nuggets.

“A lovely jangly guitar pop beast of an album wrapped lovingly with charming melodies and hooks that will linger and help your day to be a much more enjoyable experience.” — Monolith Cocktail

“Spiky indie pop, this release feels like a first in spirit; lyrically sharp and musically spry.” — Shindig! Magazine

“The melodic confidence of The Smiths or maybe the Yardbirds, filtered through a 21st century lens, the album picks carefully from the indie pop spectrum to create a satisfyingly complete listen.” — RnR Magazine (****)

Bity Booker
Bity Booker weaves her uniquely pastoral, alt-folk songs, reminiscent of Joan Baez, Bridget St. John and Joanna Newsom. Her compositions are pleasingly sparse, melodic and brimming with mystic charm. Bity's new album, There's No Song About a Stone, is out now on limited-edition vinyl, so be sure to catch her opening set!
