Jimbino is a jazz musician who has learnt his art performing in a circus for 5 years and 5 years playing in New Orleans. He is an energetic and animated performer and writes uplifting fun punk, swing funk, rap, blues and folk songs about spaghetti, the Overground and death.

He is joined by the fantastic Slava Lobanov from St Petersburg on guitar and vocals and Philip Holm on contrabass.

Andy writes: “Jimmy is one of life's born performers. He'll whip up a crowd at the drop of a hat, and have them all feeling truly entertained when he's done. He's a natural musician – a brilliant clarinettist, and a superbly whimsical, clever songwriter. Whatever mood you're in when you arrive, you'll be in a better one when you leave! He's adept at surrounding himself with other great musicians and this evenings line up looks as good as ever. Jimmy first played here in Ashburton in the old Methodist Church before it became the Arts Centre, with The Gin Bowlers, and he's been back a few times since then.
