Hotcha Paul and The Head Honchos
We are delighted to welcome back the fabulous Hotcha Paul and The Head Honchos to the Country Soul. A London based quintet Hotcha Paul and The Head Honchos take their inspiration from the music & dance scene of the 30’s era and are touched by a range of musical artists such as Slim Gaillard, Fats Waller and Tempo King. Fronted by head honcho Mr Paul Crook vocals, guitar and dancing this band is full of musical talent with Niall Oates on bass (Ronnie Scott’s rejects, Rag and Bone club), Stephen Large on keyboards (Caro Emerald, Paloma Faith and Squeeze) Andy Jones on drums (Imelda May, Alabama 3 )and trumpet ace Evan Clegg. Two Gun Mathilda
The brilliant Two Gun Mathilda will be making their debut at the October Country Soul Sessions. London-based Two Gun Mathilda, are a rhythm & blues outfit bringing the spirit of 50s and 60s R&B, soul, and rock ’n’ roll to the stage. Featuring Shuko Fujita on vocals, Jess Martucci on guitar, Frank Cooke on bass, Lee Badau on saxophone and Roni Reeds on drums & backing vocals, expect to hear driving grooves and expect to see boundless and infectious energy as Two Gun Mathilda put their own inimitable twist on classic vintage sounds.
