The 48K's are an original Indie/Mod/Rock n Roll band. That might seem like a few genres but the group cover them well, with catchy and memorable songs and lots of variety. Although they have a very diverse cannon of material you can always tell it's a 48K's tune due in part to their distinctive vocal harmonies. Listen out for new songs off their album such as Heatbeat, Wishing Well and Cyclone.

Formed in early 2024, the lineup of Robbie Capel (Rhythm Guitar), Craig Edmonds (Drums), Dave Farley (Lead Vocals), Scott Forsyth (Lead Guitar) and Matt Peel (Bass Guitar) bonded through a mutual love of 60s rock’n’roll swagger, soul grooves, 70s punk attitude, and 90s indie/Britpop bite. Across six singles, and electric live performances in some of the country's most iconic venues, such as The Cavern in Liverpool, Camden's Barfly and Dublin Castle and most recently The Water Rats in Kings Cross, they’ve grown into one of the most exciting emerging guitar acts in London, racking up over 14k Spotify streams and building a loyal grassroots following.

Payola exist to bring feeling back into modern guitar music — songs built on conviction, chemistry and pure live energy. Their mission is simple: revive the spirit of classic British rock’n’roll while pushing it somewhere new, somewhere honest, somewhere loud. No gimmicks, no gloss — just five players chasing the moment when a song connects and everything lifts.
