Hosting Cafe No9's forth young songwriter showcase, Sheffield native George Howard is an upcoming singer-songwriter with a penchant for crafting fresh, folk-inspired numbers.

Often touching on social issues, George aims to move audiences with emotive lyricism, finding inspiration from his own personal conflicts and relating these struggles to a wider audience.

Looking to release his debut album of original material in 2026, George hopes to de-mystify the art of songwriting and cultivate a unique musical approach to the well established singer-songwriter genre.

Inspired by the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Elliott Smith and Hayley Heynderickx, Rose Ingalill is an indie-folk singer-songwriter currently based between Sheffield and Glastonbury. Her songs are intimate and introspective, drawing on personal experience to explore universal themes: love, death, and the strange business of being alive. She writes to make sense of life, and to make peace with the inexplicable. Her debut EP, Necessary Evil, comes out on the 6th of November.
