Join us in The Fae Folkrooms for an evening of music, poetry and connection, with performances from local artists and invited special guests. The Fae Folkrooms celebrates the underground, the otherworldly, the alternative, the queer and the extraordinary.
This month’s special guest is Tóchar, a Glasgow-based fiddle and guitar duo offering thoughtful interpretations of traditional and contemporary Celtic material. Fran Barrett and Kai Dudley, who met on London’s vibrant session scene, stage performances marked by an intimate musical dialogue - with guitar and fiddle in lively conversation as equals.
With a repertoire that moves freely from traditional tunes and songs to original compositions, Tóchar bring warmth, playful rapport, and a deep respect for the tradition to the stage. Regular hosts of inclusive, queer-fronted folk sessions in London and Glasgow, they thrive in both intimate acoustic settings and on festival stages alike.
Their debut EP Causeway was released in April 2026.
