Mo' Fidelity Nights are delighted to bring Jo Mango and Louis Abbot to the Montrose Playhouse cinema & arts centre.

The evening will feature a 45-minute set from each artist as well as some collaboration. Jo will also have a small band with her.

JO MANGO
Glasgow-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jo Mango has recently released her incredible new album The Lightswitch. It is a luminous concept album exploring beauty, grief and longing. The record was produced by Adem Ilhan, who has worked with Radiohead's Phillip Selway, Fourtet's Kieran Hebden and recently created the music for Tim Key's feature film The Ballad of Wallace Island. It features strings by the Elysian Collective (Pulp, Beth Gibbons) and drums by Chris Vatalaro (Radiohead, Brian Eno, Anhoni, Sam Amidon).

Jo has co-written lead singles with internationally acclaimed Scottish bands, such as Teenage Fanclub (Baby Lee) and Admiral Fallow (Beetle in the Box), and collaborated with artists such as Karine Polwart, Rachel Sermanni, Vashti Bunyan, Pictish Trail, RM Hubbert and Siobhan Wilson. As a performing member of Vashti Bunyan’s band she has played on countless legendary stages across the world including the Carnegie Hall (NYC) for David Byrne's Welcome to Dreamland alt-folk showcase. Mango’s recent work in theatre, includes co-devising and performing award-winning gig theatre show A Giant on the Bridge and working on songs for the National Theatre of Scotland's 100 Voices installation – winner of a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026.

LOUIS ABBOT
Louis Linklater Abbott is a multi-instrumentalist and singer based in Glasgow. He is the songwriter for the chamber-pop band, Admiral Fallow, who have released five albums to critical acclaim and have toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe, North America and Australia since their formation in 2007.

Louis also works as a session musician, drummer, engineer and producer, and has collaborated with some of Scotland’s finest contemporary musicians and singers including Camera Obscura, Eddi Reader, King Creosote, Rachel Sermanni, Karine Polwart and Kris Drever.
