JAMIE PERRETT
Growing up in an unconventional household, Jamie Perrett’s musical path was almost
inevitable. The son of Peter Perrett (The Only Ones), Jamie’s South London childhood was a
chaotic blend of musical legacy and extreme hardship. Music became his primary language
and his refuge; by age 12, he was mastering Hendrix on the guitar and using songwriting to
navigate his parents’ struggles with addiction. He was already creating songs that
foreshadowed the depth of his later work.
After an early stint in the original lineup of Babyshambles and other early projects; from
2015, Jamie started working closely with his father; playing a pivotal role in Peter’s creative
resurgence; contributing lead guitar, production, backing vocals and songwriting to his
father’s solo work, released on Domino Records.
Jamie produced Peter Perrett’s critically acclaimed 2024 LP “The Cleansing”, masterminding
the appearance of guests Bobby Gillespie, Johnny Marr and Carlos O’Connell from
Fontaines DC.
In 2021, Jamie had begun focusing on his solo work, crafting songs for his debut project;
with his 1st single receiving widespread praise from the likes of Clash, Vive Le Rock and
Louder Than War.
In 2023, Jamie started writing and recording new material, bringing an even darker edge to
his songwriting as he delved into themes of his childhood—abuse, neglect, fractured
relationships, and the complexities of growing up amid broken promises.
Following a string of well received releases and international tours, 2025 marked his most
ambitious year yet, with 50 + shows across the UK, Europe and NYC and 3 releases
culminating in a masterful EP release in Spring 2025. With notable press coming from the
likes of Mojo Magazine, Rock and Folk and The New Que and continued Radio support from
KEXP, Radio X, Oui Fm (France) Radio Tres (Spain) and Times Radio
Jamie’s music blends melodic rock with raw, infectious energy, resonating with vulnerability
and honesty that capture his life story. His debut is no ordinary rock record—it’s a testament
to resilience, talent, and the unfiltered truth of growing up on the edge of rock and roll.
