in the 1940s dubbed "the first lady of the sliding scale". By
auditioning her audience and only appearing once a year Florence had managed to create a dedicated following and became a "must see" artist in New York counting Caruso and Tallulah Bankhead amongst her audience members. This jolly tale gives an insight into how Florence overcame her lack of talent through joyful enthusiasm and follows Florence and her devoted friends on her unlikely journey to Carnegie Hall.
