THE TALKS ...
As we prepare for the highest price cap in three years, with energy bills rising by 4% from October and predicted to climb by £149 per year from January, reducing energy bills as well as domestic CO2e emissions has never been so critical.

This evening will offer advice and insights into low-cost, energy-saving measures and basic installations, accessible to owners and renters alike; and targeting those that don’t have the budget for major retro-fits.

MIKE JENN and RETROFIT KENTISH TOWN ...
Mike Jenn is a retired charity CEO and has since volunteered on projects including delivering a dozen public workshops for Think and Do on 'Saving Energy in the Home' and on 'First Retrofit Steps' for Retrofit Kentish Town. The focus has been mostly on no- or low-cost measures.

Retrofit Kentish Town Ltd aims to encourage, educate and enable people to start retrofit projects on their homes and businesses. It offers expert workshops (e.g. heat pumps, Planning vs Conservation), collates local experience and arranges visits to improved homes.

Think & Do London is a resident-led movement, committed to a London of connected, resilient communities where residents most affected by climate and social injustice have the resources and opportunities to collectively lead the change their neighbourhoods need. This includes working towards breaking the systemic barriers which prevent them from leading the change their neighbourhoods need, and building an evidence base which demonstrates how projects based on lived experience, local and cultural knowledge coupled with the sharing of power, can turn into longer term solutions, leading to systems change.
