Event information

A new play by Rosemary Hill about women who are blamed and shamed if they do not meet society’s ideal of femininity. The play focusses on two very different women – Catherine Hogarth (the wife of Charles Dickens) who was labelled an unfit mother by Dickens himself and Christine Keeler who became known as the “Temptress who rocked the Empire” in the Profumo affair which eventually brought down the Macmillan government. She was nineteen. Profumo was forty six, but it was apparently all Keeler’s fault!

Over 16. References to sex and violence.

Tickets £12.00 or £10.00 (concessions - unwaged) from https://wegottickets.com/
Rosemary is generously donating all ticket money to York House’s restoration project, and all profits from the bar will be added to that.

Doors open 7.00pm (Saturday) and 2.30pm Sunday) and of course, there will be a York House bar offering real ale, cider, lager, wine and soft drinks
