Thornton Hough Comedy Club returns with another sensational line-up on Friday, July 9 with food available on the night too.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar’s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan.
Headlining our July 9 night is the amazing SILKY.
Silky is a comedian and musician from Liverpool and since 1994 has, in his words, avoided adulthood, wealth and financial security by doing something he loves instead.
Described as ‘a very, very funny fella … just brilliant” by John Bishop, his TV Appearances Include The Stand-Up Show (BBC), The World Stands Up (Paramount) and the Comics Lounge (AUS).
TV Warm-up Work includes 5-Star Family Reunion for BBC1 and Strictly Come Dancing for BBC1.
He’s been reported dead to the police, played in the house band at the Kilkenny Festival in Ireland, and been Dr Who’s backing guitarist. International Appearances Include: China, Kuwait, Dubai, Bahrain, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, the Seychelles, Indonesia, Norway, Sweden, the USA, the Philippines, Kosovo, the Falkland Islands, Bahrain, Australia, and all over Europe, from Luxembourg and Germany to the Alps.

Multi-award-winning Jack McLean is a rising star on the comedy circuit having made his TV debut as a Semi-Finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023.
Jack’s quick witted and conversational style has seen him go on to support Josh Jones, Fiona Allen, Morgan Rees and many more on their latest tours across the UK.
Hailing from Hull, he was named Hull New Comedian of the Year 2022 and Yorkshire Comedy Awards Best Breakthrough Act in 2023 before opening a Chris Ramsey and Friends Gala night at Hull Arena last year.

Also on the bill is the joyous JACK KELLY.
Jack came third in the prestigious Leicester Comedian Of The Year; a competition previously won (and lost) by some of the biggest names in comedy.
His sharp wit and affable charm make Jack a big hit with mainstream audiences. British Comedy Guide says he has “hilarious anecdotes” and Bolton FM called him “an exceptional comedian”.
He’s written for BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack, has featured on BBC Upload, and his act was described as “very funny” by BBC Radio 2.
Jack is also a well-respected MC - in 2020 he co-founder the award-winning Laughienda Comedy Club and runs various professional comedy nights across Manchester.
The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant BEN TURNER, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.
