Nether Edge Folk Club welcomes George Sansome and Matt Quinn. Two of the finest traditional singers of their generation in a duo that has been turning heads since it formed.

Sansome, of Granny's Attic, is a deft guitarist with a rich, sweet voice, while Quinn, formerly of The Dovetail Trio, brings a distinctive voice and a sprightly mandolin style rooted in the traditional songs of Sussex.

Their debut album, Sheffield Park, released in 2023, drew warm reviews and airplay on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3, and on stage the pair are something special: two well-blended voices and close harmonies making a warm, enthralling sound, with songs taken both unaccompanied and with guitar and mandolin.

Expect highwaymen, night visiting, true loves lost and found, and plenty of opportunity to join in on a chorus.
