Now in its 19th year, the WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards is the UK’s premier showcase for emerging musical comedy talent.

Past finalists and winners include Abandoman, Rachel Parris, Adam Kay, Mae Martin, Jay Foreman and Jazz Emu.

Who will win the 2027 WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards? Join us at the beautiful Phoenix in Oxford Circus for six Saturday afternoons of hilarious musical comedy! If you enjoy the comedy of Bill Bailey, Tim Minchin and Flight of the Conchords, then this is the show for you!

Grab yourself a drink and some delicious Phoenix food before watching ten acts deliver six minutes of their finest musical comedy material. Once all the acts have performed, our judges and audience vote for their favourite six to go through to the next round. We then round off the afternoon with a set from our headliner.

The Phoenix shows are hosted by resident MCA MC Nick Horseman, one half of our 2010 runners-up, Horse and Louis.

Fancy seeing more of the competition? Grab a discounted Phoenix Pass and catch all six shows for just £25. Tickets are available at www.wegottickets.com/musicalcomedyawards.
Book yourself in for the annual celebration of the UK’s best musical comedians!

Headlining Heat One is our 2026 winner, Dru Cripps!

Dru Cripps is an idiot with a loop station who shows up, walks on and sees what happens. A multi-award-winning comedian and “master clown” (ThreeWeeks), he is “unsurpassed as a guide into the wonderfully absurd” and “truly funny” (The Wee Review).

Winner of the 2026 WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards, the Malcolm Hardee Award, an Offie Award and a British Comedy Guide Award, as well as the KSI Make Us Laugh Challenge, Dru has also been nominated for BBC New Comedian of the Year and Edinburgh Fringe Comedian of the Year.
His completely improvised show, Juicy Bits, sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe in both 2025 and 2026, was nominated for Best Show at the ISH Awards and earned five-star reviews.

Time Out called him “sensational” and Church Times described him as “ludicrously inventive and very, very funny”, while The Scotsman hailed him as “legendary” and “crazily thrilling”. He has also racked up millions of views online.

Award-winning. Five-star rated. Completely unpredictable.
