Event information
"Golden Boy" is set in 1930s New York during the Great Depression. The story follows Joe Bonaparte, a talented young violinist whose promising musical career is sidetracked when he is lured into professional boxing. The play explores themes of ambition, identity, and the challenging choices one must make to achieve success. This production is enriched by a live string quartet and was filmed live from the prestigious Almeida Theatre in London.
