Medieval Creatures: Clay Figures, Brooches & Pendants- A workshop!

Step into the world of medieval art and create your own mythical creature inspired clay pieces!

Join Oxford based ceramic artist Issy miller for a relaxed workshop, where we’ll take inspiration from the fantastical creatures, animals and decorative motifs found in medieval manuscripts, carvings and artwork. You’ll have the chance to create your own flat clay designs, which will be fired and glazed ready for you to take home.

You don’t need any previous experience with clay or modelling. We’ll use simple templates and outlines to help you get started, before adding your own details, patterns and personality to your creature. Whether you want to make a fierce medieval beast, a strange mythical creature or something completely your own, come and experiment with clay!
All materials are provided, and the workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience working with clay.
