A specially written concert performance of "One Shot" for Remembrance weekend in honour of those who have served in defence of our freedom in wartime. This concert piece was first performed in 2018 for the Centenary of the end of the Great War and consists of music from the war years with narration and readings of letters from soldiers in the trenches to their families back home and from the families to their serving menfolk. The piece was written and conceived by Francesca Allan from research by Ian Woodall and the music is presented by the Totnes and Bridgetown Community Choir under the direction of Mike Gibbons. The first half of the concert is supported by Jamming Station's young musician, guitarist and vocalist, Amelie Trineman, who presents a wonderful programme of songs of peace and love. The concert is in aid of The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and the Totnes Vire Twin Town Association. There will be traditional Normandy Cidre, Poiré and Pommeau from our Twin Town, Vire, on sale at the event.
