Step back into the golden age of swing for an afternoon celebrating the music of the legendary Benny Goodman – the clarinettist who became known throughout the world as the King of Swing.

Clarinettist and bandleader Peter Long brings together a superb all-star quintet to recreate the exhilarating sound of Goodman’s celebrated small groups, from hard-swinging showstoppers to some of the most sophisticated chamber jazz ever recorded.

Joining Peter are acclaimed vocalist Louise Cookman, vibraphone virtuoso Anthony Kerr, guitarist and vocalist Denny Ilett, and drummer Richard Pite – five musicians steeped in the great swing tradition and determined to have some fun with it.

Expect Goodman favourites, sparkling improvisation, classic songs and plenty of swing in an irresistible Sunday afternoon celebration of one of jazz’s greatest entertainers.
