GRIEG - Peer Gynt Suite No. 1
BEETHOVEN - Violin Concerto
ELGAR - Enigma Variations
Anna-Liisa Bezrodny violin
Michael Murray conductor
An evening of thrilling orchestral music from Harrow's Trinity Orchestra begins with Grieg's famous Peer Gynt suite, including the beautiful 'Morning Mood' and the dramatic 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'. Multi-award winning violinist Anna-Liisa Bezrodny performs Beethoven's only violin concerto - one of the most popular ever written for the instrument - and the orchestra's superb musicians are showcased in a performance of Elgar's Enigma Variations, which includes his profoundly moving 'Nimrod'.
"Anna-Liisa Bezrodny is outstanding - technically brilliant and interpretatively virile. She is no mere performer: she is a real and true musician." - Jennifer Duchen (The Independent)
"This was one of the most exciting evenings of music making I've heard in Harrow" - The Harrow Observer
