Backbeat Band celebrate the season with their WINTER SOULSTICE 26 - join them in the Left Wing Event room at The Butler, Reading on Friday 11th December.
Backbeat’s mission is to have fun and play music for DANCING! Backbeat are a BIG band -featuring a three piece brass section, and four vocalists, they play their favourite Soul, R & B and Jump Jive tunes by artists including Jackie Wilson, Ruth Brown, Wilson Pickett, Louis Jordan, Ann Peebles, Fontella Bass, Edwin Starr, Stevie Wonder, Irma Thomas, Martha Reeves, Aretha Franklin and many more.

Featuring Alison Rolls and Colin Armstrong - lead vocals; Dave Gray - guitar & lead vocals; Di Whittaker - backing & lead vocals; Pete Thompson – bass; John Wright – keyboards; Craig Broadfoot - keyboards; Gary O'Toole - drums; Nick Payne –tenor sax; Dick Hanson - trumpet; Steve King - baritone sax and special guest on harmonica - Neil Packman.
