The Silverados:
“Hey, UK, did you miss us?”
LA rock ’n’ roll band The Silverados bring their explosive live show to The Helen of Troy for FTD. Blending garage rock, ’77 punk, new wave and mod, with influences including The Jam, The Who and The Kinks, the band return following sold out London shows.
Mayfair:
Mayfair are a five-piece Rhythm ‘n’ Blues band based across London that hark back to the early 60s British Invasion and beat sound with a style to match. Their energetic stage presence fills the room and their gain-heavy hollowbody guitars take sonic centre-stage
Mixing in the pubs and clubs of Soho, Aaron (Vocals), Luka (Rhythm Guitar), Gianfra (Lead Guitar), Owen (Bass & backing vocals), and Laurie (Drums) make up the line-up. Their eclectic influences run from the early sixties through to the noughties but the rhythm ‘n’ blues sound of late 50s America, later adopted by the Brits of the sixties are most prevalent in their originals such as “Mademoiselle” and “In Heat”
Rivera:
Inspired by the likes of The Jam, The Clash, McCarthy and Teenage Fanclub (to name but a few), Rivera are seventeen and based in Ashford, describing themselves as a return to "real guitar music". The band are intense and relentless live, mashing sharp intellect with classic punk energy. Themes of nihilism, social inequality, exploitation and cultural pessimism leave audiences constantly thinking as they erupt around stages in a flurry of slogans, rage and decadent theatrics. Currently recording an EP, lots is on the way from Rivera.
