Event information

ROSWELL ROAD, Jasmine Watkiss and Zoë Wren, was formed after a chance meeting led to them being forced to sing together in a busy Cambridgeshire market square. Their musical chemistry was instantaneous and they've been singing and writing songs together ever since. The London-based songwriters and performers blend close harmonies with candid storytelling, drawing on experiences from mental health to family love to real-life activist adventures at sea. Their acrobatic vocal harmonies have seem them compared to First Aid Kit and Fleetwood Mac, and have gained them accolades including Purbeck Valley Folk Festival’s ‘Purbeck Rising’ award, Fatea’s 'EP of the Year' for their debut EP, and Celtic Connections’ Danny Kyle Award’. “Roswell Road are on an upward trajectory, no doubt about it; get in there now so you can say ‘I was listening to them before they were famous’". ~ Americana UK

KYSON POINT is UK contemporary folk duo Kelly and David Booth. Galvanised by glowing reviews for their collaborative 2023 solo albums ‘Wave Machine’ and ‘All My Days’ and following their marriage in late 2023, Kelly and David became Kyson Point - the name taken from a beautiful location on the River Deben in Suffolk where they live. The couple create and perform stirring vignettes inspired by the natural world and human stories. Kelly’s songbird vocals and lyrical piano blend with David’s shimmering guitar and compelling voice, often evoking Laurel Canyon and Crosby Stills Nash harmonies, alongside compositions more firmly rooted in UK soil. From Folk East to Maverick festivals in the UK, across to Sweden’s Folk At Heart, along with intimate sold out shows in their home county, Kyson Point have fine-tuned their live set to strike the perfect balance between thoughtful ballads and uplifting foot-stomping choruses.
