Event information
1930, Berlin — The streets are splattered with poverty and excess, the population is writhing with their newfound freedom and their soon-to-come oppression. The Kit Kat Club, a spicy cabaret, is the melting pot where expats, writers, dancers, actresses and flaneurs wallow in the divine decadence of their troubled but fabulous existence. Affairs are had and lost. Lives and hearts are made and broken. The Nazis are slowly rising. But what does it matter? Life is a cabaret, old chum.
DEM Productions presents one of the most iconic and critically acclaimed musicals of all time, loosely based on Christopher Isherwood’s ‘Berlin Stories’ and with a dazzling score by Kander & Ebb, Cabaret makes its first appearance on the Oxford stage in a generation with a new, gritty imagining backed by a vast, talented cast and a well-versed production team, transforming the Keble O'Reilly Theatre into a real cabaret (with wine) in 4th week of Hilary Term.
Further details for OXFORD'S ONLY HILARY TERM MUSICAL are available at:
