Senegalese musician Diabel Cissokho is part of the great line of Cissokho griots. Growing up in Dakar, surrounded by a rich musical heritage and a family of musicians, Diabel began playing a number of traditional instruments. However, Diabel’s affinity with the kora was clear from an early age.

The West African Blues Project - Saturday 31st March

A simple philosophy: a meeting of minds; a meeting of cultures and two styles of music that seem to blend so well together it seems just natural. With a line up that can differ, no two concerts are the same each musician takes the opportunity for self expression, interacting with each other as collectively they feed of the vibe from the audience.
Ramon Goose teams up with Senegalese kora player Diabel Cissokho to present a new project which combines the beauty of West African music with the soul of the Blues.
