Threadfest 2015
22 - 24th May 2015 - The Bradford Playhouse, Little Germany, Bradford
Threadfest, Bradford's acclaimed festival of independent music and art returns this May Bank Holiday for a 'compact edition'. After three years of successfully joining up venues and organisations across the city, this time we're bringing it all under one roof to give you a concentrated taste of what Bradford's DIY, not-for-profit, independent and underground scenes have to offer.
Confirmed acts include Sir Richard Bishop (USA, ex-Sun City Girls), ATP Recordings' Vision Fortune, bleak heaviness from the North East's Drunk In Hell, avant-garde songsmith Richard Dawson, Yorkshire folk legend and Thurston Moore favourite Michael Chapman, Bradford's psychedelic world-folk power trio The Family Elan, Italian free jazz devotionalists Jooklo Duo, The Quietus' John Doran, Bradford Qawwali musicians, experimental techno from Leeds' Chrononautz and lots more to be announced.
For those wishing to support the development of this exciting festival - and Bradford's growing independent music scene - early bird weekend tickets at just £30 will guarantee you access to Bradford Playhouse for the full 3 days. In keeping with previous editions a limited number of pay-what-you-feel daily tickets will be available on the door at the event.
Threadfest 2015 is brought to you by M@BU, Recon and The Bradford Playhouse in partnership with Bradford independent organisations, venues and promoters including The Live Room, Fuse Art Space, Total World, Topic Folk Club, Jazz ATP, Lumen and Art in Unusual Spaces. Supported by University of Bradford and Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
