Event Information
A tale of two parallel worlds,
The first a vibrant UTOPIA, flourishing with creativity and bliss, a place where one can escape the continuously prevalent tug of reality, too weak to stop but significant enough to not ignore. But as the gain on the amps is turned to their MAX and that buzzing tension inside grows tighter and tighter, the mirror flips and the façade of bliss seems to tear away, unveiling the chaotic DYSTOPIA that you will explore.
On the 26th April, the gates to UTOPIA open at The Hope and Ruin for one night only!
Prepare to be transported to a euphoric state of mind as these 3 bands blow you away:
WILD FRONT
Wild Front aim to pair the unrestrained emotions of music with the capricious nature of life. Their exotic mix of influences from 80s rock to West Coast hip hop to folk creates a unique sound; a bit rocky, a bit cheeky, and a little bit sarcastic.

MOTHER ME
Mother Me have relentlessly spent the past year crafting their own brand of doomy indie tinged post-punk. Made up of Josh (Guitar/Vocals) and Becca (Guitar/Synth/Vocals) the Brighton based duo have been honing in on their unique sound, drawing influences from artists including The Smiths, The Cure and Warpaint. Mother Me's sound is best summed up as strong grooves, moulded with eerie melodies and heart felt lyrics.

FERAL YOUTH
Feral Youth are a 4 piece emo/alternative band based in Brighton. Fuzzy highs and soft lows are mixed in the emo/dreamy/grunge sound.

Day 2 on the 27th April the tale of Utopia takes a dark turn, transforming into a vast Dystopia at Sticky Mike's Frog Bar, which will allow you to delve into a world where moshing is encouraged and rage is more than welcome.
Joining you in this Dystopia:
ATLAS WYND
A garage rock duo hailing from the North East of England basing themselves in Brighton. This two piece provides you with a wall of sound that's sure to knock you to the back of the room.

GRYMM
Grymm are an energetic indie-grunge hybrid with all the catchiness of pop, outfit from Brighton. Synths ring out over fuzzed-up bass, sharp blows of frenzied cymbals and hits of percussion cut deep within the ensuing rage of guitar noise. The band have created a cacophony of sound, yet they still intrinsically maintain a strict grip on melody and vocal hooks.
