New Tyneside Orchestra

The New Tyneside Orchestra is one of the leading symphony orchestras in the North East.

Based in Newcastle, we were founded in 1970 and have been bringing a wide range of music to audiences and players since then.

The orchestra is made up of over 70 musicians led by Dawn Allen. It has an ethos of presenting well-known musical works alongside neglected music that deserves to be heard more often.
