The North Wiltshire Symphony Orchestra is a welcoming, friendly and highly proficient symphony orchestra, made up of musicians from all parts of Wiltshire and neighbouring areas. The orchestra was founded in 1966 in Marlborough and has been performing regularly ever since.
St. Andrew's Church in Chippenham is the orchestra's regular concert venue, where three concerts a year are performed.
The orchestra's principal conductor is Alex Arkwright and its leader is Sara Stagg.
Philip Dukes, Artistic Director of Music at Marlborough College, and well known professional Viola player, is also Artistic Advisor to the orchestra.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at Monkton Park Primary School, Chippenham.
