Complementing the current Wells Literary, Arts, Comedy and Food festivals, the Theatre Festival aims to attract a theatre-going public of all ages, whilst also encouraging young people to participate in theatre practice.

The first Wells Theatre Festival will take place from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th July 2018. It will present classic drama by well-known artists alongside exciting, emerging theatre-makers.

Oscar winning actress, Dame Judi Dench and renowned Director, Sir Richard Eyre are patrons for the festival.
