Reel Tangle is a new ensemble matching the already established trio of Rachel Musson (tenor saxophone), Olie Brice (double bass) and Mark Sanders (drums/percussion) with renowned alto saxophonist Jason Yarde. They draw heavily on their shared interest in free jazz and free improvisation, whilst using a composed framework of melodies, text and gesture around which to weave a skein of exploration in sound, melody and time.
