KATIE BEANEY

We are beyond excited to welcome explosive Bristol-formed, London-based purveyors of snarling, thunderous rock excellence FRÄULEIN to The Hunter Club.

Having roared out of lockdown with an amazing set at Sound City, Ipswich, the band have gone on to opened for Goat Girl at DIY Magazine's 'Big Bank Holiday Weekender’ and played sold-out shows across iconic London venues like Brixton Windmill, the Amersham Arms and the Old Blue Last. Their debut single ‘Pretty People’ also won support from several influential publications (DIY Magazine, Louder Than War, Soundsphere); they've been featured on the Spotify ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist and have most recently gotten the seal of approval from BBC Radio 1’s Daniel P. Carter (The Rock Show) who, after playing their debut single, said “as soon as I heard it, it made me think immediately of 'Dry' or 'Rid Of Me’ era PJ Harvey, which is an amazing thing to bring to mind”. Latest single ‘Belly’ recently won plaudits from the likes of Clash Magazine, KEXP, Spotify ‘Hot New Bands’ playlist and Get In Her Ears, the latter of which called it their track of the day.

Support comes from fast-rising alt-rock titans SUBSTATION (fresh from winning the BurySOUND Songwriting Award), indie/punk heroes (and BurySOUND 2022 finalists) HUNGRY, epic alt-rock supremos SUPRACELESTIALS and the Washing Machine debut of emerging singer-songwriter KATIE BEANEY.

***Please note that Ben Brown is no longer able to perform.***

THE HUNTER CLUB IS A SAFE SPACE
We take audience safety very seriously at The Hunter Club, and strongly believe that gigs can and should be safe spaces, free from harassment, intimidation, prejudice, bullying and violence. We expect that all artists, venue staff and attendees will respect our values, and we have a zero tolerance policy towards those who do not. Anyone who endangers the enjoyment and safety of others at a Washing Machine night will be ejected and barred. It is unfortunate that in 2022 we still have to say this stuff, but we hope that by doing so we can help to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to enjoy themselves.
