Green Man Resident Artist Geoff Chilton leads a one-day workshop on 'Abstracting the Landscape'.
A second chance to participate in this full-day workshop: Resident Artist Geoff Chilton shows several methods to free up your landscape painting.
Using sketches and photos he demonstrates from start to finish how to incorporate different media on top of oil and acrylic paint to create loose and dynamic paintings. Learn how to blend non-realistic and symbolic ideas with representational elements, using tone to add drama and abrasive media for details.
Geoff shows how to free up the marks you make and take a broader view of your whole work.
11am to 4pm in the Workshop Room at The Green Man Gallery. NB This room is accessed via one flight of stairs. Unfortunately there is no lift.
Cost £50 (plus online booking fee). Book in person or by phone at the gallery during opening hours (no booking fee). 01298 937375. This course is for maximum 10 people.
