Join Trilogy Ensemble for another Classical Christmas concert at the beautiful Green Man Gallery, Buxton. The last in the Music + Art 2023 series. Music for flute, viola and harp inspired by Italy - with a festive twist!
Trilogy journeys with youthful composers through Italy, with fresh Baroque and Renaissance chamber music arrangements. Featuring beautiful Italian festive music by Handel and Venetians stars Castello and Gabrielli. Think Gondolas and olives by candlelight! Join in with our well loved festive treats and enjoy the artwork of The Green Man Gallery.
Did you know that it is said traditional Christmas Carols originated in Italy? Relax and join in with our arrangements of some of your favourites - and some ancient Italian carols and Madrigals.
In Italy, we find another ancient tale, which still remains contemporary today - two star-crossed lovers - Romeo and Juliet, with Prokofiev’s popular Ballet brought to life.
Music by:
Handel, Gabrielli, Castello, Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet Suite, Italian Carols and Madrigals.
Tickets £12/£10 conc. in advance or £12 on the door.
Doors open at 6.30pm for 7pm start.
Refreshments are served from doors opening to start of performance and again during the interval.
