A captivating historical drama film that offers a unique perspective on one of the darkest periods in human history, the Holocaust. Directed by Jonathan Glazer, the film delves into the lives of the Hoss family, who live adjacent to the Auschwitz concentration camp, oblivious to the atrocities occurring just beyond their walls.
Loosely based on the 2014 novel by Martin Amis, only the constant pall of smoke, and a dread-inducing soundscape, tell of the horrors beyond the wall as the idyllic life of the commandant of the death camp and his family rolls by in Glazer’s Oscar-nominated film
