A warm welcome back to Manchester-based jazz quintet, Quinta, for their fourth appearance at The Green Man.

With a wide repertoire, ranging from Clifford Brown to the contemporary sounds of Kenny Wheeler and the early 60s funk of Wes Montgomery, and incorporating music from South Africa and original compositions, Quinta have been playing for many years in the Manchester area.

Featuring a line-up of saxophone (Mike Dale), trumpet (Bob Dinn), piano (Barry Mansfield), bass (Warwick Stephenson) and drums (Huw Owens), Quinta have been regulars at the Creative Space jazz nights in Manchester, the Hillary Step in Chorlton, and Mash Guru in Macclesfield, and in recent years have featured at the Didsbury Arts and Congleton Jazz and Blues Festivals. Quinta provides a refreshing change for lovers of jazz. Harmonically and rhythmically diverse, this intriguing five-piece combo brings new shades of texture and meaning to a varied and interesting programme of modern, contemporary and world jazz.

Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start. Tickets £10 advance/£12 on the door.
