Poetic Sounds on a Summer’s Evening at St Margaret’s Church, Warnham
Join us for a mesmerising evening of poetry and music in the serene setting of St Margaret’s Church, Warnham, the Shelley family church and where Percy ByssheShelley was baptised. Set in the heart of the village, this special event will feature award-winning poets and musicians presenting a rich and evocative programme, perfect for a summers evening..
The evening will also include the presentation of the winning poems from the Shelley Memorial Project 2025 International Poetry Competition, introduced by the legendary Joe Bunn, the Bard of Worthing.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start, with an approximate run time of two hours.
Throughout the evening you’ll have the opportunity to purchase this year’s poetry anthology and take part in our very special raffle, with a stellar first prize, a bottle of Poet Laureate Sherry, generously donated by Simon Armitage himself!
Book signings will take place both during the interval and at the conclusion of the event.
St Margaret’s Church is wheelchair accessible, with ample free on-street parking nearby. The venue is also easily reached from Horsham railway station, just a short taxi ride away.
