Join us for an intimate evening of original music at The Grey Horse in Balerno to raise funds for local charity YOUTH VISION. The evening will be hosted by BBC award winning Singer/Songwriter Mike McKenzie who will perform alongside guest artists Kirsteen Harvey and Liv Dawn on Saturday 12th September. There will also be a chance to win some amazing raffle prizes and all of the procedes from the night will be donated to Youth Vision.

YOUTH VISION is a local charity that works with young people from South West Edinburgh who are struggling with formal education, or are excluded from school, and are not engaged in training, or employment. They offer a range of nature based informal education services that aim to develop confidence and self-esteem to support a healthy transition to adulthood and more positive destinations.

MIKE MCKENZIE is a BBC award winning songwriter from Edinburgh. Described by The List as “A melting pot of Scottish folk, jangle pop and Americana”, “Gorgeous” by Jo Whiley and “An outstanding talent” by Grant Stott, his music has received national airplay from BBC 6 Music, Radio 2, Radio 4 and Radio Scotland. Mike has previously opened for major touring artists including Lucy Spraggan, Wet Wet Wet, Horse and Rianne Downie, and extensive touring has seen him bring his wholesome, feel good energy to The Barrowlands, SWG3, King Tut’s, Queen's Hall, TRNSMT, Hidden Door and Edinburgh Pride.

KIRSTEEN HARVEY is an independent singer-songwriter from Glasgow, blending folk influences with modern songwriting and a strong connection to her Scottish roots. Raised in a family of traditional musicians, her distinctive sound has earned support from BBC Radio Scotland, SSE Hydro and The Scottish Sun, while gaining recognition from artists including Amy Macdonald and Lewis Capaldi. With multiple EP releases and over 1.5 million streams, she continues to build a growing audience across Scotland and beyond including huge support online with of over 140K followers.

LIV DAWN is a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Scotland who crafts compelling tales which explore everyday life, growing up, falling in and out of love, chasing dreams, and finding happiness. Liv was selected as a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award and has played at festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, Skye Live, Leigh Folk Festival, Belladrum and Eden Festival.
